Oxford Union president-elect must resign over Charlie Kirk messages, say former leaders

Dozens of former Oxford Union leaders have called for the president-elect’s resignation over messages he sent praising the shooting of Charlie Kirk.

In a letter sent to George Abaraonye on Monday, 70 senior alumni urged him to step down from his role as the incoming president to “preserve the union’s integrity”.
